Moves are underway to provide more media training to develop and modernise the broadcasting industry in Fiji and the Pacific.

The assurance was given by Asia Pacific Institute of Broadcasting Director, Yang Binyuan at the 38th AIBD Strategic Meeting in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Binyuan says developing and building expertise is one of their main in assisting the development of the broadcasting sector.
He says they would like to see active participation of all Pacific broadcaster commercial, state owned and public service in AIBD activities.
From July 2011, 2012, the AIBD implemented 34 training programmes in the Asia and Pacific region benefitting more than 1200 personnel
