The South Pacific Stock Exchange continues to diversify its portfolio with 11 sectors of the Fijian economy now represented.

SPX CEO Krishika Narayan says Port Denarau Marina’s addition brings their marketplace up to 21 entities.

Narayan says the exchange continues to promote a culture of quality disclosure, improved compliance and principles of good governance.

She says they are urging other companies to go public with a couple already to be listed in the coming months.

“At least two companies that we are actively working with in terms of listing and they are again also coming from new sectors so that’s again very interesting and exciting for us, so as time goes by we’ll reveal more information but that’s obviously, one thing we are working towards and very excited that we’ll be announcing.”

Port Denarau Marina Limited was listed on the stock exchange yesterday and in the initial public offering raised $14.91 million.

40 million ordinary shares are now being traded at $1.31 per share.
