The Military will return to the camp after the 2014 elections says Land force Commander Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga.
Tikotioga’s comments come after former politician Krishna Datt said in his recent statement that the military should realise its role under a civilian government.
Tikoitoga says their role is clear.
“When everything returns to normal after the 2014 elections and all announcements are made, the military will relinguish its role and return to the camp. From there it will continue with its role of supporting government.”
Tikoitoga says the military is no different from any government department – any officer who wants to contest the elections should resign.
