Walesi Fiji launched its second public hot spot of free WiFi in Lautoka this morning at the city’s municipal market.

This is the 15th public WiFi hot spot as part of the Government’s Digital Fiji initiative, and gives users 60 minutes of complimentary internet access on a daily basis.

Walesi Chief Executive Shivnesh Prasad says there are now approximately 100,000 active Walesi set top boxes, with a large number of Fijians also viewing television programs on their phones via the Walesi app, which has over 100,000 downloads.
