Life Insurance Corporation of India today handed over ten-thousand dollars to the Ramakrishna Mission in support of their free NCD screenings for Fijians program.
LICI General Manager Vimlesh Dhar says the corporation is dedicated to serving the people of Fiji in the best possible way and this is just one of the many initiatives they are proud to be part of.
“The percentage of the population that is suffering from NCD is quite huge and as a commitment towards the corporate social responsibility as our contribution towards the health sector in Fiji and towards the well being of the people in Fiji. We are taking this small step in having a tie up, joining hands with the Ramakrishna and we hope this tie up will see better health for the people.”
Dhar says this year marks LICI providing business to Fijians for 60years and this is their first major project to mark the occasion.
NCD’s currently account for 40% of healthcare in the country.
