Fiji Roads Authority says they will continue with their night maintenance works at Knolly Street in Suva.

FRA Acting Chief Executive, Robert Sen says they have adopted the mill and fill method which will require removing the existing pavement, clean and apply a membrane seal then pave a fresh asphaltic concrete layer top.

Sen says the surface of this route has lost its ability to be water proof and has resulted in the formation of potholes.

He says works commenced at 8pm daily and is expected to be completed by Saturday.

More than six hundred thousand dollars was used for this maintenance works.
