Lesuma says they managed to stop the fire from spreading to the nearby buildings.

All the students are safe.

ACS fieldsman Mosese Vosabeci, says all the students from the Q dormitory were in their classrooms when the fire started.

“Lucky no one was inside the dormitory. All the students were in their classrooms already starting their classes. I was just cutting the grass and all of a sudden my colleagues and I – who look after the school saw smoke coming from the dormitory. We ran over to the dormitory but it was too late. It was fully engulfed in flames. We couldn’t save anything.”

The Authority is reminding the public to stay vigilant and help prevent the unnecessary occurrence of fire damage to properties.
