A family in Bulileka, Labasa, is homeless after a fire destroyed their home last night.

Firefighters attended to the incident and managed to bring the fire under control, preventing it from spreading to adjacent houses.

Neighbors say a man was alone at home when the fire started, and he luckily escaped.

An investigation into the cause of the incident is underway.
