The completion of the Lagilagi Housing Project’s second phase has been delayed due to financial issues.

People’s Community Network National Director, Semiti Qalowasa says the project was scheduled to be completed in the next two weeks however work is still ongoing.

”We are hoping that the government will help us in giving us the extra fund for those unit, and also we are hoping to get it from the residents who have occupied phase one but due to the deal of their payment also affected the phase two especially the completion of the 36 units.”

Qalowasa says work has been completed on the first 40 units with 36 units expected to be completed in the next four months.

The $16 million project once completed will have 76 three bedroom units
