Fiji and HK fight transnational customs crimes

Fiji and Hong Kong will now work to strengthen co-operation in the fight against transnational customs crimes by exchanging information.

The Fiji Revenue and Customs Service on Wednesday signed a Customs Co-operative Arrangement (CCA) with Hong Kong Customs to enhance their co-operation in terms of trade facilitation and law enforcement.

Revenue & Customs Chief Executive Officer Visvanath Das says through the CCA, both custom administrations will be able to share information to combat transnational crimes and facilitate legitimate trade.

He adds, they appreciate the opportunity to partner with Hong Kong to learn so that they can improve Customs administration in Fiji.
