FEO hopes to register 6000 students

The Fijian Elections Office recorded 82 new voters at All Saints Secondary School in Labasa.

Supervisor of Elections, Mohammad Saneem says they hope to register about 6000 eligible voters in schools by the end of the year.

While the next election is in 2018, Deputy Secretary Michael Clancy says they want to ensure students have the right information to make informed choices.

The FEO is registering students who have turned 18 years since the September 2014 General Election.
