FEA to carry out repair works in Nadarivatu tonight
July 8, 2017 1:10 am
The Fiji Electricity Authority will be carrying out repair and maintenance works at the Nadarivatu Switching Station tonight.
This is part of FEA’s annual maintenance plan.
FEA says in order to carry out the repairs and maintenance, FEA Engineers will de-energize the 132,000 volts transmission line from Nadarivatu to Wailoa and Nadarivatu to Vuda Power Station.
This will mean that FEA will not be able to transmit electricity from Nadarivatu and Wailoa Power Stations to the Western Division.
During this time, FEA will rely on its Diesel Power Stations at Sigatoka, Qeleloa, Nadi, Vuda, and Rakiraki to supply electricity to Western Division customers from Namatakula to Waimicia in Rakiraki.
Maintenance will be carried out from 9pm to 8am tomorrow.
