The Fiji Electricity Authority is investigating how one of its electric poles fell over at Laqere in Nasinu yesterday.

No one was hurt, but the incident caused a huge traffic jam along the Highway as half the road was blocked.

The fallen power line also meant nearby communities were without electricity for a few hours.

FEA engineers have since managed to remove the fallen pole and power supply has resumed.
