More than 20 students in FNU’s National Apprenticeship Scheme

The Fiji National University is working towards ensuring that their students are employed after they have graduated from the institution.

This comes after more than 20 students are expected to go through FNU’s National Apprenticeship Scheme.

FNU’s Manager National Trade Test Alvin Lal says the scheme will allow these students to work for Aqua Heat South Pacific Limited and at the same time continue their studies.

“Apprenticeship training is the best way form of upskilling and also it provides on job training and off job training, what this means is that once working for an organization the trainee will be paid.”

Lal says the students will also be monitored and they will have to prove themselves while at training.
