Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says his government has aggressively developed Fiji’s ICT infrastructure keeping in mind that e-commerce is taking center stage to do business now.

Speaking at the network lunch with Surrey Board of Trade Bainimarama said this is done to protect the private sector’s business interests and investments and keep pace with the rest of the world.

He says Fiji has state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure including the fiber-optic cable connections from Australia to USA.

He says this provides faster connectivity to some of Fiji’s neighbouring countries like Tonga and Vanuatu.
