Driver charged and will be produced in court

The accused alleged to have caused an accident on Thursday, that resulted in the death of two men in Lautoka has been charged.

The accused has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.

The victims from Wairabetia were passengers in a vehicle with three others traveling towards Lautoka when the incident happened.

It is alleged the driver lost control of the vehicle causing it to veer off the road, hitting a tree at the junction of Natabua and the Queens Road.

The driver will be produced at the Lautoka Magistrates court tomorrow.

Meanwhile the driver alleged to have caused the death of a 30-year-old man in Walu Bay was interviewed and released as investigations continue.
