The Social Welfare Ministry is still receiving applications of appeal from beneficiaries who were disqualified from their Family Assistance Program earlier this year.

They were disqualified because they were no longer eligible.

Social Welfare Minister Dr Jiko Luveni says an appeals committee is now reviewing all applications.

“They can still re-apply. It is open all the time and they apply to appeal the decision that has been made.”

Dr Luveni says beneficiaries will only be assisted if they justify their reasons.
