Minister for Defence and National Security Ratu Inoke Kubuabola recently paid a courtesy call to the Chief of the Indonesian National Police, General Tito Karnavian at the Police Headquarters in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Ratu Inoke is in Indonesia for the 7th Indo Defence Expo.
He acknowledged Indonesia’s assistance towards the establishment of the Regional Police Academy and other forms of assistance.
He also noted that Fiji and Indonesia have enjoyed over 40 years of bilateral relations that were further strengthened by the Fiji-Indonesia Police Cooperation MOU signed in 2011.
Ratu Inoke also thanked the Indonesian National Police for the spirit of mutual cooperation and understanding and look forward to deepening Police relations through more technical training and exchanges.
