A 30 year old contractor of Vatutu, Nadi has become the country’s latest road fatality following an accident at Denarau Road, Nadi yesterday afternoon.

The victim allegedly drove off the road to try and overtake a vehicle.

The accident allegedly occurred when he tried to drive back on to the road while trying to avoid a concrete post.

A 25 year old man is admitted in Lautoka Hospital in critical condition while a 44 year old passenger is admitted at the Nadi Hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

Fiji Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro says over the past few days a number of serious accidents have been recorded and motorists are being advised to be mindful of their actions.
