The need for food has been in high demand for residents living in Lautoka.

This comes as the lockdown and restricted movements extend further for people living in this area.

Council Representative in Lautoka, Mesake Rokotabuivalu says they are doing their best to assist these families.

“Most of them have jobs but just because of the restrictions, just because of the lockdown, they are without employment. And there is no income at all in the family.”

Rokotabuivalu says far more than 100 families have been identified.
