A 30-year-old man facing multiple counts of serious offence charges was granted bail by the Suva Magistrates Court.

Sivorosi Naisevu is charged with one count each of dangerous driving occasioning death, dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and dangerous driving.

It is alleged that last Friday, Naisevu drove a motor vehicle along Fletcher Road in Vatuwaqa, Suva, in a dangerous manner occasioning the death of Tarusila Laveta.

It is also alleged that while driving in that hazardous manner, Naisevu caused grievous bodily harm to one Josefa Tabua.

The Magistrate granted Naisevu bail in the sum of $2,000 with one surety who has signed a surety bond of $2,000.

The court also issued strict bail conditions.

The matter will be recalled on March 7th.
