The Fiji National Council for Disabled People is now interviewing two consultants who will be tasked to carry out a review on the current act for disabled people.

Executive director – Sitiveni Yanuyanutawa says the review should start in a fornight and will take six months.

“Hopefully around this time next year, we will complete the review and hopefully we will move to the next step to look at the draft legislation for the disabled people in Fiji.”

Yanuyanutawa says while drafting the new legislation they will ensure that people with disabilities have more comforts of life.
