Company to bring in new boat

Seaview Shipping is bringing in a new vessel to join its fleet of three already serving the maritime zones.

Companhy Managing Director Durga Prasad says they are working towards Commissioning their new boat in December.

“We have got out own investment, we are going to prove it, definitely we were looking for that for a long time because Shipping Industry at the moment is collapsing”

The new boat is a 43 metres long with a seating capacity of 300 and a top speed of 25 knots, which make it’s the first ever for Fiji and intended to serve both locals and tourists

“We leave in the morning, by midday before the afternoon 4 or 5 o’clock in the evening we will be reaching the destination, if somebody want to go to Savusavu- Taveuni we will make a special run and this will be specifically for the tourist, because we will be communicating with all the tourist coming into the country, we will be taking them for a day trip.”

Seaview Shipping will bring in a captain from South Korea to sail its new ship until local captains are well trained.
