The Nausori Town Council today organized a special environment clean up programme for Nausori.

Town Council Chief Executive, Akhtar Ali says part of the cleanup programme are civil servants in Nausori, Bank Officers, Stakeholders and the Nausori Chamber of Commerce.

“So today is a special day, we have arrange for a special environment clean up for Nausori, we want to beautify Nausori, these are all in line with our objective adapting to climate change issues that’s affecting the nation.”

Ali adds the clean up programme includes the cleaning up of the Syria Park, Nausori town and Vuci South to Lakena, Sawani, Davuilevu and right up to Nasinu.

He adds the cleanup campaign is also in line with Fiji’s preparations towards COP23.
