The Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has urged participants at the CPA Australia – Fiji congress meeting to ensure they make their submissions to the Constitution Commission.

Sayed-Khaiyum was the key note speaker at the congress in Nadi today.

“You should make your submissions to the Constitutional Commission. Its not just simply about whether we have communal seats, whether we have just one particular religion as the state religion, whether we should have a secular state. Its more than that. We need to have ethics and accountability. What should be the calibre of people that should represent you? Who will be the people that will be making decisions that will affect you lives? These are very very critical issues and we cannot shy away from it.”
