Busy schedule lined up for PM Modi

Prime Minister Modi has a full schedule of events today.

At 9.35am he will be accorded a traditional welcome ceremony that will be performed by the people of Sorokoba at Albert Park.

He will then pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama at 10.45am.

The two leaders will witness a signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding between ministers of Fiji and India.

Modi is also scheduled to address Parliament at 11.30am.

An hour later he will hold a forum for India-Pacific Islands Cooperation with Pacific leaders and their senior officials.

Modi will also visit the Fiji National University at 5pm where he will speak on the topic Pacific Islands and India’s Trade and Diplomacy.

The Indian Prime Minister is scheduled to fly out of Nausori Airport at 9.15pm for Nadi where he will then depart about an hour later.
