A body has been found opposite McDonalds in Nadi.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed this saying the body was found late yesterday afternoon by a security guard.

At this point it is not known whether the victim is a woman or a man given the degree of decomposition of the body.

However, FBC News spoke to a man who claims he is the father of the victim.

The man claims that the body that was found could be his 25-year-old daughter who he reported missing on Monday this week.

Police investigations continue.
