Despite the defense lawyer informing the court that his client has adhered to all his bail conditions, Justice Rajasinghe dismissed the bail application by saying that the purpose of the travel is not imperative.

The Judge further said that Arts still has the liberty for a vacation in Fiji.

Arts, in his capacity as the Publisher is alleged to have published a statement that is likely to incite dislike, hatred, or antagonism of the Muslim community.
