A man who allegedly murdered a 30-year-old man in Navua two months ago appeared in the Suva High court today.

Kiriata Nangintabuariki is charged with one count of murder.

It’s alleged that he and another accused murdered thirty-year-old Rebaio Mekieru in Vuninokonoko, Navua on 1st September.

It’s alleged the incident occurred during a drinking party.

The man applied for bail today and the prosecution has asked for two weeks to respond to the bail application.

The matter has been adjourned to 1st December.
