Police are investigating an alleged arson in Rabulu, Tavua last night.

A four bedroom house was destroyed in the fire at about 6.45pm and the cause of the blaze is yet to be established.

The home belonging to a 63 year old farmer was vacant at the time.

The cost of damage is estimated at more than $41,000.
