Akbar makes donation to Gospel School for the Deaf

Minister for Women and Children Rosy Akbar visited Gospel School for the Deaf yesterday as part of the Ministry’s Fiji Day Celebrations for 2015.
Akbar also presented more than six hundred dollars worth of stationery to the school on behalf of the Fijian Government.
During her address to the children of the school the Minister said the Fijian government was adamant on building a barrier free society – one that includes gives such special children a place in society.
“It is our job as leaders, as parents and educators and community leaders that these little treasures are not left behind as we move forward because who knows some of the great leaders of our country may arise from here.”
Akbar thanked the school management for giving proper care and attention to these students.
She added that there is a fulfillment that people get when they look after these special children.
