November 13, 2012 4:10 am

Air Pacific is sending one of its Boeing 747-400 jumbo aircraft to Singapore for a routine heavy maintenance check.

As a result, the airline says it’s leasing a Boeing 777-200 ER aircraft from charter airline Euro Atlantic Airways to serve Air Pacific’s Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Sydney routes for about a month starting today.

The chartered plane from Lisbon, Portugal will be operated by Euro Atlantic pilots, cabin crew and maintenance team with support from Air Pacific and an Air Pacific cabin attendant.
