Affordable Dialysis Centre opened in Lautoka

A new kidney dialysis centre, the Island Kidney Assistance Foundation was open in Lautoka this morning.

Chief Executive Rajesh Prasad says the Foundation aims to provide affordable treatments to patients in the country.

“There are people who cannot afford here. People only do one dialysis per week because they cannot afford the money. More dialysis, more better because more fluid going through your body. In four hours the machine takes out everything.”

Prasad says the center will only charge $150 per dialysis treatment.

He adds the company has received a lot of interest from around the country.
