An eighty-year-old woman in Galoa in Bua says she has never experienced any cyclone like Evan before.

Mereoni Care says Evan was very destructive and has caused a lot of damage
in the area.

Care says it was a frightening moment for her and she is glad that she’s alive.

Spokesperson – Apenisa Soro says at least 28 houses in the area blew away due to the strong winds.

Soro says the village is in need of food and they are waiting assistance from the government.

He adds there is no health service in the area.
