The newly refurbished Jacks Flagship store in Pier Street, Suva, has completely been transformed to two levels.

Jacks Group of Companies Chief Executive Bhavin Khatri says the new store has created employment for 20 more Fijians jobs from the previous 45 staff requirements.

Khatri says it was not an easy site to refurbish as the building is a cultural heritage site declared by the Fiji Heritage Council.

“This is a heritage and with the works that has been done we had to maintain its heritage look and it had its challenges so we had more work come out then what we expected.”

Khatri says around $5m was invested into the modernized store.
