The rapid growth of the Fijian economy has been recognized by the World Bank and they describe it as one with a lot of potentials.

Speaking to FBC News, World Bank Country Director Michel Kerf says Fiji’s economy is progressing relatively well.
With more economic growth projected for Fiji, Kerf is confident that our economy will soar to greater heights.

“Fijian economy has been doing relatively well over the past few years with a rate of growth of about 3.5 percent over the past few years and this despite the impacts of cyclones as you know.”

Since we are one of the most developed of the Pacific island economies, the World Bank is ready to assist Fiji in any way it can.
