Pacific Mini Games gold medalist in the men’s high jump Malakai Kaiwalu is aware of the competition level in the Commonwealth Games come April.

The Vatulele native says compared to the Mini Games in Vanuatu, the Commonwealth will bring greater challenge.

“The challenges I’ve been facing is trying to get my techniques right and continue to improve on it.”

Kaiwalu is impressed with his personal best of 2.09 meters and aims to improve on it before the Commonwealth Games in April.
