Fiji Airways men’s 7s coach Gareth Baber says Paula Dranisinukula has been cleared of injury and is ready for selection.

Earlier in the month, Dranisinukula highlighted that he might not be traveling with the team to Hamilton 7s next weekend.

Baber says the robust forward has been fully committed to the team and has been in an impressive form so far.

“He is always been in contention. He wouldn’t be in this training group he would have been in a separate group if he wasn’t in contention for a place. He has pushed himself all the way. He is an honest and genuine gentleman and he has put his hand up and worked hard to get exactly where he needs to and he knows the standard is going to play at.”

14 players were part of the training run this morning and Baber is expected to drop a player for the Hamilton 7s.

Meanwhile, the Fiji 7s side begins its campaign against Wales at 10.52am on Saturday week then faces Argentina at 2.42pm and plays Australia in its last pool match at 6.52pm.

The Cup quarter-final begins at 10.36am on Sunday, Cup semifinal starts at 3.16pm and the final is scheduled for 7.10pm.
