The Fiji Under 20 rugby team meets Italy on Saturday to fight for 11th place at the IRB Junior World Championship in South Africa.

Fiji’s 29-20 loss to Samoa today saw them spiral down from sixth place and coach Sale Sorovaki says they refuse to drop any further in rankings this weekend.

“We did not underestimate Samoa, we tried hard but it just did not go our way. We want to finish off with a win, we lost that opportunity and look forward to Italy on Friday.”

The loser of the Fiji-Italy match gets relegated into Tier Two status and will compete in the IRB Junior World Rugby Trophy in the United States next year.
