October 24, 2018 12:04 am

The Fiji Airways Drua will be banking on its home support to provide the extra lung power as they take on Queensland Country in the National Rugby Championship this weekend.

With a lot at stake for the Drua, the Fiji Rugby Union is challenging the locals in the Western Division to witness an exciting clash.

FRU Chief Executive, John O’Connor says this is something Fijians should be proud of – as this is the first outside Australian team to appear in the NRC final.

“The Drua will need the support and they will have the chance to watch them in action in the final and we are hoping they will be coming out in numbers to fill the stadium up and let’s cheer the Drua on.”

The Drua lost 57-21 to Queensland Country in last year’s NRC semi-final and then were hammered again 66-5 in round three of the competition this season.

The NRC final kicks-off at 3.30pm on Saturday at Lautoka’s Churchill Park
