The Fiji Rugby Union will be advising the International Rugby Board to suspend Ratu Kadavulevu School from the Deans competition.
This after the school failed to release five of its players for national duties with the Fiji Under-18 team bound of the Youth Olympics.
The players, Joseva Rauga, Ratu Epeneri Uluiviti, Timoci Meya, Filipe Nawabalavu and Filipe Qoro, were to have joined the national camp yesterday.
However, the players opted to play in the Deans Trophy, and leaving the national side stranded with seven players.
Despite numerous pleas from the Fiji team management, the players and school failed to budge from their original stance.
There was a meeting held between the FRU and RKS today, which failed to resolve the matter.
FRU says RKS principal Beniamino Tawake remains adamant they won’t be releasing the players.
The FRU will make submission to the independent IRB sanctioned disciplinary committee to have RKS suspended from the Deans competition for not only bringing disrepute to the Fiji U18 7s team to Nanjing and not supporting the development of rugby in the country.
Tawake did not want to comment on the matter to FBC Sports.
