Radisson Blu Resort Fiji on Denarau Island in Nadi is now using solar power system for its energy needs.
Solar energy provider Sunergise has installed a roof mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) array to provide clean, reliable energy at the resort.
The system will produce renewable electricity annually, and help avoid the importation of 175,000 litres of diesel per year.
General Manager – Gerard Knight says they are now able to enjoy savings on their total power bill, and to share their solar credentials with the guests.
Knight says increasingly, tourists are aware of environmental issues and want the opportunity to make greener choices where they can.
