Pacific and Agricultural pavilion to be built in Poland

A Pacific and Agricultural pavilion will be built in a bid to build a space to showcase the efforts that are being made in the Pacific to build resilience in the climate change.

Minister Responsible for Climate Change Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says the New Zealand government has announced an additional fund of $3.6mFJD to build a Pacific and Agricultural pavilion.

Sayed-Khaiyum says the pavilion will be built in Poland where the COP24 will be held.

“This pavilion will also provide an invaluable platform for the world’s farmers and all agro-industry stakeholders to engage with an issue critical to global food security and indeed economic prosperity.”

Sayed-Khaiyum says New Zealand was at the forefront and helped Fiji in the adaptation of the Koronivia joint work on agriculture that will help develop and outline new strategies for adaptation and mitigation within the agricultural sector.
