New fuel prices to come into effect from Sunday

The fuel and Liquefied Petroleum Gas prices have been reviewed and the new prices will come into effect from tomorrow.

Motor Spirit will cost $2.18 – an increase of 12 cents per litre, Premix will cost $2.02 – an increase of 13 cents per litre, the price of kerosene will increase from $1.54 to $1.68 per litre while the Diesel price will increase by 14 cents and will now cost $1.90 per litre.

For LPG, a 4.5KG cylinder will cost $12.89 – an increase of 16 cents, the 12KG cylinder will cost $34.38 – an increase of 44 cents while Auto Gas will cost $1.61 per litre.

Fiji is directly affected by the world market prices for both refined oils and LPG, as such any changes to the world market prices will be reflected in Fuel and LPF prices in Fiji.

The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission will conduct the next fuel and LP price review in October.
