The Police Force is currently on a twenty-four hour standby with Tropical Cyclone Mona looming over the Fiji group.
Chief of Operations, ACP Maretino Qiolevu says they will also have police officers who will be patrolling evacuation centres to ensure safety is maintained at this crucial time.
ACP Qiolevu says as they gear up their preparations, Fijians should also do the same.
“Please refrain from playing will water especially in the rain, flooded areas. Please refrain from crossing rivers also from moving around in places where now it is already flooded especially low lying areas. Abide or adhere to instructions or advice given by authorities and also try and keep tabs or listen to the radio and also from the Police as well.”
