This is Government’s continuation of giving Fijians free internet access in public areas and is similar to those which have been launched in Suva and Sigatoka.

“Wi-Fi of course for the young people and for those of you who are not so young, this should give an opportunity to ordinary Fijians to come to areas where they have safe spaces to have access to internet services and for that 24 hours they get an hour for free.”

Sayed-Khaiyum says free hotspot areas were created mainly for people to get access to high-speed internet.

The Wi-Fi hotspot areas are also part of Government’s vision to have free and fast internet services for all Fijians.
