The SDP Workshop in Suva [Source: Fijian Government]

The Agriculture Ministry’s Strategic Development Plan for 2019-2023 will drive the sector towards modernization and commercialization.

This was highlighted by the Minister responsible, Dr. Mahendra Reddy at the SDP Workshop in Suva yesterday.

Dr. Reddy says the document will allow demand-driven approach for the sector and will ensure sustainability of non-sugar crops, livestock production and improve the income, food and nutrition security of all Fijians.

He also revealed that the strategic plan was revised in the latter half of 2018 to be in line with the Government’s priorities and updated sector trends.
