Police have confirmed that the suspect in custody in relation to the alleged murder of 26 year old Maureen Yasmin Nisha, has been charged.

The 28 year old man has been charged with one count of murder and will be produced at the Nadi Magistrates Court today.

Nisha’s body was discovered in a bush opposite McDonald’s in Nadi last week by a security guard.

Post mortem results have shown multiple stab wounds, leading police to treat the case as murder.

Her funeral was held over the weekend.
