57-year-old Mohammed Yasin who is charged with one count of murder has been found guilty by Suva High Court Judge Justice Salesi Temo.

The 3 assessors had found Yasin guilty of murder earlier this afternoon with Justice Temo also concurring with their opinions.

Yasin is alleged to have murdered his wife Maimum Nisha in Wailailai Ba three years ago.

Yasin had testified in court that he had stabbed his wife.

He also stated in court that he was remorseful for his acts.

Mohammed Yasin will be sentenced tomorrow morning.
