Project Bula Mai held its premier fashion event ‘Style Fiji’ in Nadi last night in support of Cure Kids Fiji.

The project aims to rake in money for charity and raise awareness on health and wellness in Fiji.

Local designers, both established and emerging – featured their creations on the cat walk at the red carpet event.

Style Fiji raised $96,000 in 2015 and Bula Mai Chairman Adrian Sofield hopes this year that target will be surpassed.

“We support local designers. It’s very much a local industry that we look forward to supporting. We are a charitable organisation and our committee work and the enjoyment we get is being able to give back to the community. There so much that we can put into the community because there are so many people who just don’t have the facility or the ability to pay for medial health and so on and we would like to improve the opportunity for those to get access to this.”

The NGO has helped numerous agents like the Nadi Hospital providing around $500,000 worth assistance and also assisted St. Johns Ambulance.

The aim this year is to raise more than $100,000 for Cure Kids Fiji.
